NOW LIVE: Travel & Entertainment Guidelines
To the Luskin School Community,
Senior Director Scott Monatlik has shared a new web resource related to the travel and entertainment restrictions that he and VCCFO Steve Agostini announced in mid-May.
The resource indicates that departments/units have discretion over certain expenses. Because the university faces great financial uncertainty, we would like to emphasize the importance of hosting more modest activities (e.g., Does your event really need a full meal, alcohol, or swag?). And of course, you should plan events that do not exceed per person limits.
In order to manage travel and entertainment expenses within the Luskin School, we will continue the internal review/pre-approval process as explained in my original note. Any requests requiring CAO or CFO approval should be submitted to my attention. If you are not sure if the event or activity requires pre-approval, feel free to submit to me. As long as the activity is not prohibited, I will respond with the approval or a request for additional information.
Please let Rowena and me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jocelyn Guihama
