What are are the building’s hours, amenities, and operational information?
- BUILDING HOURS:
- M-F 7am-10pm, closed on weekends and holidays. After-hours access via the Bruincard readers should be coordinated with your department manager.
- TRASH: Trash is collected from centralized bins only. Desk-side bins are not serviced.
- RESTROOMS: There are restrooms on every floor, as well as Gender Inclusive Restrooms on floors 5 and 6.
- KITCHENETTES:
- 3rd Floor Commons, room 3383.
- 5th floor, room 5389.
- LACTATION ROOM: Adjacent to 5th floor Atrium. Contact your manager for access.
- HEATING/AIR: No heat/AC on weekends and during campus closures. Contact Ops@Luskin.ucla.edu for Exception Requests
- 24-Hour Trouble Calls number is 310-825-9236.
Who are the Public Affairs Building’s occupants?
- The Luskin School occupies about 3-1/2 floors of the building.
- Other divisions include: Social Sciences, Humanities, UCLA Library, and General Assignment classrooms.
- General Assignment classrooms are NOT managed by Luskin, but by the Registrars’ Office.
- The Luskin School-managed classrooms are: 2343, 2355, 4320, 4357, 4371, and 5391.
- Certain conference rooms are available for booking. Please contact your manager for details.
- The building is called “Public Affairs Building”. (The Luskin Building is the Luskin Conference Center.)

What are the elevators’ dimensions and weight limits?
There are 4 elevators, each with the following specifications:
Doors: 3.6’W x 6.11’H.
Cab Interior: 4.6’W x 6.1’D x 7.4’H.
Load: 2,500 lbs.

When do office trash bins get emptied?
Waste bins in private offices are no longer serviced by Facilities Management. Please take your waste to the centralized bins on each floor
Administrative Procedures
How can I have mail/packages delivered to my office/campus?
- US Mail is delivered daily.
- If you need access to the mailroom and/or need a mailbox, please see your manager.
- For Campus Mail, our Mail Code is 165606. (UCLA’s own “zip code”)
- During campus closures, no deliveries can be made.
How do I send mail or packages from campus?
- ON-CAMPUS/CROSS CAMPUS MAIL:
- Daily Pick-up from the Mail Room (Room 6237).
- Mailed piece must include addressee’s 6-digit mail code for correct delivery. The Luskin School mail code is 165606.
- Find listing on www.directory.ucla.edu
- OFF-CAMPUS/US MAIL:
- Each mailed piece requires a “recharge ID” in lieu of stamps. Request recharge ID from your manager.
- Must have a return address to be delivered.
- Call 310-825-5100 for large parcels.
- FEDEX AND COURIERS:
- During campus closures, no couriers may enter the building.
- Use pre-paid FedEx labels created by your fund manager and drop off the package at a FedEx facility.
- PERSONAL MAIL
- It is much faster to use the US Mail Boxes!
What is the process for Purchasing and Reimbursement?
- Please contact your manager for instructions as each unit has its own internal procedures.
- The staff in Financial Services can provide you with purchasing, reimbursement, travel, and all other financial information.
- Most of the forms can be found on the Luskin School Financial Services Website
How to reserve a meeting room for Faculty and Staff use?
- Talk to your department administrator
- You may be able to access the Luskin Room Reservation system here: Sharepoint.em.ucla.edu
If you need access to Sharepoint, please email ITSupport@Luskin.ucla.edu - Temporary Hoteling Offices may be reserved here: https://www.picktime.com/HotelingOffice
Booking for classes MUST be done through your department managers, as they need to enter the information into Registrar’s Office’s database.

Where can I get help with computer access?
Please contact the Luskin IT Support for computer access.
Where can I get telephone support?
The Campus is transitioning to Zoom soft phone. Please contact your administrator if you require a land line.
If you still have a land line, contact Ops@Luskin.ucla.edu if you need:
- Help forwarding your office line to a different number.
- Your voicemail messages to go to your email as an audible attachment
If you need a work cell phone, the UCLA Mobile Program has excellent prices. Please contact your manager or fund manager for assistance.

Where can I find a Copier/Printer/Fax machine?
- Machines on 3rd, 5th, and 6th floors.
- Documents can be scanned and sent directly to your email.
- Ask your Manager for individualized access codes.
- For large jobs, please check with your manager.

How do I get keys?

Complete the Key Request form, sign, and submit it to Luskin School Building Operations, Ops@luskin.ucla.edu.

If you already have all the keys you need, but would also like access to the building after-hours, please complete the Bruincard Reader Access Request. Please note that building access must be approved by your manager or faculty.
